The Office of the Privacy Commissioner together with the Privacy Foundation New Zealand and Victoria University of Wellington Law School.
We’re delighted to invite everyone to attend a public lecture by Prof Nicole Moreham.
About Sir Bruce Slane:
The event commemorates Sir Bruce Slane who was New Zealand’s first Privacy Commissioner and had a monumental role in shaping New Zealand’s privacy protections.
In this lecture, Prof Nicole Moreham explores how society can strike a balance between protecting the free speech online and the need to protect individual privacy. Using privacy torts cases as a starting point, she identifies a number of specific situations in which privacy might well need to give way to other interests.
The recording of the lecture can be found here.
